Youth Tennis Project
Help out at San Diego Youth Tennis' Youth Community Tennis Event. The event will be holiday themed awith games, drills, prizes, and there may even be a visit from "Santa" himself! The Santa suit will be available for anyone brave enough to sport it. Volunteers encourage their players, promote team work, and ensure the players rotate smoothly from court to court while they participate in a variety of drills and games. Tennis knowledge is helpful but is not required.
The children are elementary and middle school ages (for the most part). All levels of players will be participating, from beginners to more advanced in their age range. Come out and encourage these young players.
Project Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Wear comfortable athletic attire such as shorts or a warmup suit. Dress in layers depending on the season. Must wear athletic shoes appropriate for tennis courts.

Bring: A reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat.

Court-Ordered Volunteers: Due to site policy, this organization does not accommodate court-mandated volunteers.

Safety: Temperature checks and masks will be required at check in. Coaches will be on-site to limit up close interactions with the kids as much as possible. Volunteers will be required to wear a mask the entire time, juniors may remove their mask while on court playing tennis - and for the most part volunteers will stay opposite side of court away from kids throughout the event.

Note: Volunteers do not need to bring tennis rackets.
