Services are provided 24/7 and in confidence through its Call Center, online database, text, and chat functions. During times of disaster or public emergencies, 2-1-1 partners with the County of San Diego, various cities, and public safety agencies to provide non-emergency information and updates to the general public. Dedicated volunteers are vital to 2-1-1's successful response in disaster and are encouraged to become "disaster ready" now by taking an orientation with its Disaster Response Team.
