East County Horse Ranching
Volunteers help keep the ranch clean and beautiful! Projects depend on the needs for that day and range from light ranch work such as sweeping, sorting supplies, weeding, painting, and moving hay bales. Volunteers will NOT be working directly with the children or the horses.
If you have special skills, e.g., plumbing, irrigation, carpentry, please inform the Team Leader.
You may use the swimming pool to cool off and relax after your shift! Bring your swimsuits and towels if you like.
Project Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or boots) and older clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. If you don't have the right attire, you might not be able to participate.

Bring: Sunscreen, a hat, snacks, and a reusable water bottle. Be advised it is much hotter in East County than it is in San Diego! Feel free to bring your own work gloves.

Physical Ability: Their property has a lot of uneven land and hillsides. Some tasks can be strenuous, let the Team Leader know if you need to swap projects.

Note: The owners have large, friendly dogs that roam the property.
