This is an inactive volunteer opportunity. HandsOn San Diego does not accept donations of clothing and Dress for Success no longer has a chapter in our area. We recommend donating to Sharia's Closet.
Dress for Success San Diego collects donations of womens’ professional clothing, accessories, and personal care items at a local Church. Volunteers will help sort and size the donations.
Dress for Success San Diego has a separate, secure location where clients select clothing. The organization also helps women prepare resumes and conduct job searches. All the clients are low income; many are victims of domestic violence; others are homeless, disabled, in the military. It is housed in a collective that provide a wide-range of long-term health, safety, and housing services to families in need.
What to wear: Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.
