Cesar Chavez Day of Service
Hosted by: San Diego Cesar E. Chavez Commemoration Committee
8:00am - 1:00pm
Saturday, March 17th
Southcrest/Logan Heights

We will beautify Emerson Bandini Elementary School by painting, planting a garden, participating in a clean up project, and judging essays. A free BBQ lunch will be served!

Sort & Distribute Basic Necessities with Hugs & Bags
Hosted by: HandsOn San Diego & Hugs & Bags
8:00am - 12:00pm
Saturday, March 31st

Hugs & Bags is a monthly event that creates an opportunity for people to unite and help their fellow neighbors, and distributes meals and necessities to homeless and low-income communites. In addition to the distribution, there are often cosmetology students giving haircuts and a DJ playing music to keep everyone feeling upbeat.

Headwaters Habitat Restoration
Hosted by: HandsOn San Diego & San Diego River Park Foundation
8:30am - 2:30pm
Saturday, March 31st

Volunteers can help create habitat for wildlife and keep water clean by removing invasive plants, watering native plants, and more! This is a great opportunity to give back by getting your hands dirty, learning about local ecology and habitat restoration science, looking for wildlife, and spending time in nature
