Leap Into Action: Museum Beautification and Habitat Restoration

Make your extra day this year count by joining us for a unique Day of Service project hosted by HandsOn San Diego for the San Diego Archaeological Center! History buffs will love experiencing the ins and outs of the museum while helping preserve San Diego's past, present, and future.

Volunteers will be split into groups, helping with: planting native plants, weeding, painting, building benches, restoring the Center's main sign, and more. Most volunteers will be at outdoor projects.

These projects will help restore native plants and wildlife that may have been lost due to fires in the area. It will also help continue the educational mission that the Archaeological center has in the community, support local schools that involve local archaeology and anthropology, and promote awareness of the San Pasqual Historic Battlefield.
