ECO: Farming with Community Roots

Community Roots Farm grows a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers, some of which are destined for their new on-site farm stand and some of which will go to state-funded preschools. The more they plant, the more food they have to serve the community!

Volunteer farming duties will include planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting and irrigation. Tasks will vary based on the needs of the plants and what is ready for harvest. Some things they are currently preparing for planting include beets, swiss chard, lettuce, carrots, cabbage, green onions, leeks and a mix of flowers.
