Letters to Baker Elementary
Join us in writing letters to students at Baker Elementary School! Following an orientation on anti-racist pedagogy, UC San Diego undergrads write personalized letters to students in grades 3-5. Teachers will have their students brainstorm questions they might have for a college student and they will be distributed among volunteers along with a sample template and guidelines. Undergrads will have the opportunity to write letters to individual students, answer their questions, share stories, and decorate their letter. Letters will be collected at the end of the week and shared digitally with Baker students following their spring break.
