Join the 2-1-1 San Diego Disaster Response Team

Who We Are
2-1-1 San Diego is a free, 24 hour, confidential phone service and online searchable database. As a trusted, local, nonprofit organization with strong community partners, 2-1-1 San Diego is able to connect people to over 15,000 community, health, basic needs, and disaster services.

In times of disaster, 2-1-1 is the community’s non-emergency, disaster information source, providing up-to-the-minute incident status updates working to connect callers to the resources they need. We connected 145,000 callers to the resources they needed during the 2007 fires with an average of 14,500 inquiries per day.

The Team
Upon activation, the 2-1-1 Disaster Response Team (DRT), a group of trained volunteers, supervises the Contact Center, delivers “Just-in-Time” training, and provides administrative support to the 2-1-1 staff.
