Chris is a San Diego native who became passionate about volunteering in 2007, when she volunteered at Qualcomm stadium helping people displaced by local fires. She joined HandsOn San Diego when it launched and never misses an opportunity to tell others about the organization. One of her most favorite projects is Serve A Meal at Father Joes, where she is affectionately known as Chrissy by her fellow volunteers. She is excited to be a part of the Advisory Board and views this as a further opportunity to serve and give back to the community, engaging others along the way.
Chris has a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University, a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Jose State University and works in Human Resources for a small biotech company. When she is not volunteering, you can find her participating in local races, hiking, spending time with family and friends, or in the kitchen cooking something new.
