VolunBEERS: A Hoppy Service Project!

Join HandsOn San Diego on Thursday, March 19, for our first VolunBEERS of 2026!

Our March VolunBEERS is dedicated to Groundwork San Diego - Chollas Creek and the San Diego River Park Foundation at Kilowatt Brewing Kearny Mesa. We'll be repotting succulent cuttings, painting pots, and painting/labeling plant stakes.

Groundwork will be donating the succulents to elementary students and families that attend their EarthLab events while the stakes will be used by the San Diego River Park Foundation for their Point Loma Native Plant Garden. 

Although we have plenty of pots to paint, volunteers are welcome to bring their own mug or pot to plant their succulents in, which will also be donated. Volunteers are also encouraged to wear green in celebration of St. Patrick's Day!

We're also excited to share that another silent auction will be taking place. Please note that individuals must be at VolunBEERS to place their bids. Space and supplies are limited, so we recommend buying your tickets early.

Generous support from the San Diego community helps HandsOn San Diego support over 100 San Diego schools, parks and nonprofits. We would appreciate it if you would consider donating and joining us for VolunBEERS, where you have the opportunity to support our organization. Help give back to our local community through volunteer service while enjoying the best beer San Diego has to offer!

General admission is $25 for the Thumbs Up ticket which includes project supplies + one non-alcoholic beverage. Drink deals are $30 for the High Five ticket which includes project supplies + one pint, or $50 for the Handshake ticket which includes project supplies + up to three pints.
