Development Committee

Are you passionate about fundraising, grant writing, or building strategic partnerships? HandsOn San Diego (HOSD) is looking for driven and community-minded individuals to join our Development Committee—a group focused on strengthening the foundation of our mission through creative and sustainable resource development.

As a committee member, you’ll play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, cultivating relationships with businesses and government agencies, supporting individual giving campaigns, and contributing to the planning of annual events like San Diego Gives and Global Volunteer Month. You’ll also help refine our case for support and build momentum for ongoing and future fundraising efforts.

Development Committee members commit approximately 2–4 hours per month, including a 1-hour virtual meeting every other month via Google Meet. You’ll collaborate regularly with fellow committee members online and receive a thorough orientation and ongoing support from our team.

Whether you're experienced in development or simply eager to support our mission behind the scenes, this is a meaningful way to gain nonprofit experience, expand your fundraising skill set, and make a tangible impact in the San Diego community.
