FOOD: City Heights Food Distribution



Volunteers are needed to assist with food distribution as patrons walk through the food line while selecting the items they would like. Volunteer positions include: stocking, shopping assistants, assisting line monitor, staffing food tables, gate keeper, breaking down recyclables, and clean-up.

Their goal is to serve as many low-income individuals with quality frozen meats, fresh produce, and non-perishables in a 2-hour window while treating them with dignity and respect.


Project Requirements & Important Notes

  • Attire: Wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable and weather appropriate work clothes such as jeans or shorts, and a hat. 

  • Bring: Reusable water bottle and sunscreen.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 - 30 lbs, however, we work in teams, and volunteers can assist in various positions while not lifting anything heavy.

  • Weather: This project takes place rain or shine.
