FOOD: San Diego Center For the Blind Food Distribution
This project directly supports individuals in the community who are blind, visually impaired, or at risk of vision loss. Volunteers will help distribute groceries and essentials to clients who often face barriers to accessing food, while also assisting with a free eye exam clinic offered on-site. This event provides life-changing support—ensuring access to both nutrition and preventative eye care in one safe, inclusive space. By volunteering, volunteers are helping clients meet immediate needs and promote long-term well-being for a vulnerable population.
Volunteers will help check in attendees, distribute food, assist individuals in navigating to their eye exams, and support overall event flow. Volunteers may also help direct traffic and ensure that clients move safely and efficiently through each station. This is a hands-on way to support blind and visually impaired individuals in our community with care, dignity, and respect. Volunteer presence makes a difference!
