Ricardo Arreola

Ricardo is a first-year student at the University of San Diego and a College Corps Fellow at HandsOn San Diego; through this role, he hopes to gain professional experience, strengthen his leadership skills, and contribute to projects that create a positive impact in the San Diego community; and, at the same time, owning this new community.

Prior to attending USD, Ricardo studied in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at CETYS University High School in Mexicali, Mexico. He also led a youth nonprofit organization called SELIDER Mexicali, which had a similar purpose as HandsOn San Diego: connect volunteers to local organizations. He has experience leading teams, organizing community service projects, and supporting initiatives focused on education, environmental restoration, and vulnerable populations.

Ricardo is passionate about leadership, volunteerism, and community engagement, especially from the youth. He is excited to continue developing his professional skills while supporting the mission of HandsOn San Diego, and learning more about the nonprofit sector.
