College Corps Fellow, Nonprofit Partners

Yesika Menera

Yesika Menera is a first-generation, third-year University of San Diego student pursuing a degree in psychology and sociology with a concentration on Law, Crime, and Justice. Her ultimate career goal is to get involved in forensic psychology or start her own practice for women and children who have experienced mental, physical, and sexual violence, along with a safehouse and resources. As a proud child of a single mother, she is not afraid of hard work and standing up for what is right.

As a College Corps Fellow, Yesika continues her pursuit of civic engagement work alongside HandsOn San Diego and its many nonprofit partners. As a previous fellow working in food insecurity, she is beyond excited to try something new and learn different areas of change that need to happen. Yesika wants to create an inclusive community while working at HandsOn while working as a Behavioral Therapist, Relationship and Sexual Violence Peer Educator, and Peer Coach at the University of San Diego.
