FOOD: Meal Prep for Good
In response to the growing need for food assistance in San Diego, Kitchens for Good is rapidly increasing hunger relief meal production. Their chefs are working tirelessly to produce hundreds of healthy heat-and-eat meals for families in need.
To support meal production Kitchens for Good has restructured the volunteer program in compliance with the Center for Disease Control COVID19 guidelines and regulations. Tasks include portioning, weighing, sealing, and labeling hunger relief meals.
Project Requirements & Important Notes
Shifts: Weekdays, 8:00am - 11:30am or 1:00pm - 4:00pm, sign up here.
Physical Requirements: Work in movement for up to 4 consecutive hours and the ability to lift 10+ pounds
Skills: Active listening, precise execution of verbal direction, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and able to follow food safety regulations to ensure proper food preparation.
