Contemporary Art Museum Host
The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) offers free access to rotating contemporary art exhibits, Thursday - Sunday from 12-5 pm. Volunteers will become part of their ICA Host Team which offers learning opportunities about contemporary art and their current exhibits. They welcome many out-of-town guests into our museums space as well as members of the local community. Much of their daily traffic comes from people walking around Balboa Park sightseeing or visiting various museums and historical landmarks. Volunteers are invaluable in helping ICA continue to offer access to their exhibitions free of charge.
They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are curious about contemporary art to become ICA Hosts. Hosts welcome and check-in visitors to their exhibitions and events, distribute information about their programs, provide directions to the starting point of the exhibit, refer visitors to their staff for tours, and provide other assistance as necessary. Volunteers are also offered opportunities to assist during their special Museum events and programs. If you are interested in joining their dynamic team in promoting engagement with contemporary art in our community, please consider becoming an ICA Host.
