ECO: Thursday Farming and Composting



Composting is an opportunity to take something that is at the end of its life and offer a rebirth. Healthy soil means healthy plants and healthy people. Join Botanical Community Development Initatives in making change in the world!

Volunteers will learn how to create rich, fertile compost and how it is applied at their community farm.


Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

  • Attire: Long pants and closed-toe shoes. This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade. Volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen and a hat.

  • Bring: A refillable waterbottle.

  • Waiver: Every volunteer is required to sign a waiver. Anyone under 18 must have waiver signed by a parent/legal guardian. Please also sign waivers for very young children attending with parents. Sign waiver here.

  • Physical Requirements: Unfortunately this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations.
    Note:
