ECO: Webster Community Tree Planting

Adding trees to the Southeastern San Diego urban forest is vital to help cool the community, support the wildlife, and take a step forward toward creating a climate safe neighborhood. This underserved community will also realize health benefits and enjoy the beauty of trees.

Volunteers will meet for a quick demonstration on how to successfully plant a tree. Planting teams will be created and volunteers will head off to the assigned home where the tree will be awaiting their arrival. Volunteers will be planting about 34 trees at a variety of residential locations in the Webster community. Upon completion of planting trees at the assigned home, volunteers will return for an ice cream celebration at Webster Elementary. Volunteers can view the flyer here.
