Special Olympics San Diego - Athletics Competition
Make a difference by supporting and encouraging athletes!
Volunteers support the event by supervising athletic events. Volunteer duties include: making sure athletes have the necessary equipment, timers, helping athletes to their lane, knowing where athletes are at all times, submitting the scores for your event, and awarding the athletes their medals and ribbons.
Special Olympics Southern California is also looking for help with serving lunch, set up/breakdown, and photographers.

The mission of Special Olympics Southern California is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
