HELP OUT: Paint a Mural in Mountain View
District 9 City Councilmember Sean Elo-Rivera's office is hosting a mural painting project along a longstanding wall at Greater Gospel Center Church in Mountain View that consistently gets tagged and is subjected to gang violence and threats. A local artist has created a design that will incorporate native flora and fauna. Once completed, the mural will diminish graffiti and encourage folks to use their art form in a mural.
Volunteers will primarily be painting the background and mural design using outlines made by the artist. The mural painting process will be led by Quetsmo and Southeast Art Team. Volunteers may also help with removing graffiti in the surrounding area.
