HELP OUT: Point Loma Summer Concerts Food Service

The Point Loma Summer Concerts are an annual series of family-friendly concerts at Point Loma Park that fundraises for music education. This is Devoted to Youth's second year sponsoring being a food sponsor is one of the food sponsors this year to promote their weekly farmers markets.

Volunteers will help unload a truck, set up of tents, cook and run the food booths, pass out flyers, and help the event run smoothly. After the event ends, volunteers will help load supplies back into the truck. Volunteers will be provided with free food and drinks, courtesy of Devoted to Youth. 

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

• Attire: Comfortable shorts and black shirt. Bring a jacket as it gets chilly at night. This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade so volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen and a hat.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40 lbs. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations by providing a seat in the booth while taking food orders. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible and is located on a grassy field.

• Waiver: Volunteers will be required to sign a waiver for Devoted to Youth when they arrive on site.
