Spanish Translator for the San Diego Center for the Blind
Are you bilingual in Spanish and English? Use your language skills to make a direct impact! As a Spanish Translator Volunteer, you'll help bridge communication between staff and clients, ensuring that individuals who are blind or visually impaired receive clear, respectful, and culturally competent information.
This role is vital in promoting access, dignity, and confidence for our Spanish-speaking community members. Responsibilities may include:
-
Interpreting conversations between clients and staff
-
Translating documents or signage into Spanish
-
Assisting during workshops, appointments, or public events
-
Offering language support at the front desk or over the phone
-
Helping the San Diego Center for the Blind ensure that no one is left behind due to a language barrier
You will help build trust and clarity for clients who may otherwise struggle to access critical services.
