Curebound Cancer Challenge Event
Over the past decade, Curebound's signature community event, Padres Pedal the Cause, has raised $24.5 million for innovative cancer research and united thousands of people with one goal: to end cancer. Building on this strong foundation, we are excited to announce that starting this year, Padres Pedal the Cause will expand and become the Curebound Cancer Challenge with all new coastal routes and more ways to get involved in San Diego's fight against cancer.
Volunteering for the Curebound Cancer Challenge directly supports Curebound's mission by allowing them to reduce event staffing costs, ensuring that as much of the funds raised as possible go directly to life-saving cancer research. The time and energy of their volunteers help make this event possible — from cheering on participants to keeping everything running smoothly — and truly make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer. By volunteering, individuals aren't just giving their time; they're helping advance groundbreaking research and support those affected by this disease.
There are various different volunteer positions to choose when registering to volunteer. Curebound's most popular volunteer opportunities include cheerleaders, general volunteers, and bag and bike check where volunteers will be in charge of helping store the bags and bikes of participants on event day.
