FOOD: Neighborhood Healthcare Food Distribution

Help feed around 200 households or around 750 people throughout Escondido by volunteering at Neighborhood Healthcare's food distribution.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and breakdown for event

• Sort produce and dried goods

• Create pantry staple bags for distribution

• Load all items into cars

Skills & Qualifications:

• No prior experience required

• Able to lift bags weighing up to 35 pounds using proper lifting technique

• Comfortable standing for the duration of the shift

Training Provided: 

• On-site training provided at the beginning of the shift

Attire: Comfortable clothes that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, and a hat or sunglasses. Face masks are optional. This project takes place outdoors with plenty of shade for volunteers

Bring: A water bottle and a small snack just in case

Physical Requirements: Bending, lifting up to 15 lbs, extending to place items in cars, and standing for the duration. Unfortunately this project is unable to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations

​Waiver: All volunteers will need to fill out and sign Neighborhood Healthcare's Safety & Media Release before starting their shift. You can bring it with you or fill it out on-site
