FOOD: Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive with Heaven's Windows
Be a part of ending hunger in San Diego and participate in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in cities across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate.
Volunteers will check canned and dry goods for expiration dates and sort them into categories. By supporting this event, volunteers will help Heaven's Windows receive tons of donated food to distribute back into the community through their partner organizations and food pantries.

Skills & Qualificiations:

This opportunity will require lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, and standing.

Unfortunately this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations.

The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.
Attire: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. This opportunity takes place both indoors and outdoors.
Bring: Sunglasses and sun protection such as a hat and sunscreen. Gloves if needed.
Weather: This event will not be cancelled due to rain or inclement weather, it will take place rain or shine.
