HELP OUT: San Diego County Fair - Home Art and Hobbies

Home Arts & Hobbies celebrates home arts and includes hand-crafted quilts, collections, table settings, miniatures & models, decorative arts & crafts, needle art, sewing, weaving & felting, preserved foods, and baked goods made by people across San Diego County.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to help create an exhibit that showcases the San Diego community and receive one free entry to the Fair.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the judging process by presenting the entries from the exhibitors entering the competitions and moving the entries to the correct place within the exhibit. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Basic computer skills, and attention to detail.

• The ability to read fine print. 

• Interest in arts and crafts is a plus!

Training Provided: Instructions will be provided on-site.

Attire: Closed-toe shoes and clothes that are comfortable to move in and can get dirty. This opportunity takes place indoors.

Bring: Water

Physical Requirements: Being able to lift up to 25lbs and stand/walk for most of shift. Unfortunately, this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and the space where this project takes place is not wheelchair accessible.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this project. No habrá ningún hispanohablante presente en este proyecto.

Weather: Project is indoors and will not be canceled for rain.
