ECO: Garden Guardian Fridays
Solana Center's demonstration site gives the public an opportunity to see everyday climate change solutions in action, and to learn more about their free and low-cost education and resources. Their garden provides an example of how people can save water, build healthy soil that sequesters carbon, produce food and support pollinators using whatever outdoor space they may have. By helping to keep their garden healthy, volunteers help provide education and inspiration to visitors at every stage of their environmental journey.
Volunteers will help perform routine garden maintenance including watering, weeding, pruning and general cleanup. Other projects, such as planting or spreading mulch will take place intermittently. Basic gardening experience is appreciated but not required.
